The AITD is a 37 year old member owned association. We design all of our services specifically for learning and development professionals.

We service members in several ways.

Professional development

We provide professional development through a range of events and resources that are free to members or substantially discounted. We offer professional development through face to face events, e-learning or through printed resources. One of our most popular resources is the AITD bi-monthly journal.

Profiles

The AITD provides members with opportunities to raise their profiles and awareness of their services. Our national office is the first stop for those seeking training services, and we help members who are seeking or selling training services to find each other. We are about to do this at an accelerated rate when we complete our directory into a ‘Find a Training Consultant’ on the front page of our new website.

Member advantages

The AITD uses its group buying power to provide members with services that they could not get as individuals. These services cater for the unique needs of learning and development professionals. Some advantages (such as professionoal indemnity insurance) save members much more than their annual membership fee.

Advocacy

We promote excellence in learning and development in various ways, the most obvious is our national awards for training excellence. Regular surveys and articles seek to raise the bar for L&D while showing our members what they will need to compete as L&D professionals in the future. We also award advanced practitioners with post nominals.
