AITD supports the Serious eLearning Manifesto
We are serious about eLearning
Released: 17 November 2015
The Serious eLearning Manifesto was created by Michael Allen, Julie Dirksen, Clark Quinn and Will Thalheimer, as a means of encouraging learning professionals to use technology in a productive, meaningful way. The Manifesto serves as a pledge, by individuals and organisations, to follow best practice when creating elearning.
The Manifesto moves typical eLearning to Serious eLearning, which has the following values and characteristics:
- Performance Focused
- Meaningful to Learners
- Authentic Context
- Realistic Decisions
- Individualised Challenges
- Spaced Practice
- Real-World Consequences
The Principles which underpin Serious eLearning are learner-focussed and designed to maximise the learning experience.
AITD, as both a creator of eLearning and a membership association for learning professionals, supports quality instruction and valuable learning experiences. We are a proud supporter of the Serious eLearning Manifesto.
