AITD welcomes Naomi Dinnen

AITD welcomes Naomi Dinnen as our new CEO commencing on 10 July 2017.
Naomi was previously the Executive Officer of the Group Training Association of NSW & ACT for more than six years, and most recently worked on projects with the NSW Department of Industry’s Office of Regional Development and MusicNSW, juggling the complex needs of stakeholders and members.
Naomi has worked closely with government and business to develop and promote programs and strategies to engage people in learning and career development.
She has published opinion pieces about vocational training and apprenticeships in the Sydney Morning Herald, the Australian, the Daily Telegraph and other publications, and has appeared on Radio National, Triple J, 2GB, 2WS and other radio.
Prior to working with Group Training, Naomi was the Executive Officer of the NSW Utilities and Electrotechnology Industry Training Advisory Body (ITAB), and was National Projects and Communications manager for E-Oz Training Standards, the Industry Skills Council for the Energy sector. Naomi was the industry champion for national initiatives such as eLearning and Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL) programs, and National Training Packages to business, the training industry and the broader community.
Naomi has a Masters of Professional Education and Training (Deakin University), Bachelor of Arts (Communications and Policy Studies), and Certificate IV in Small Business Management.
Before joining the training sector, Naomi had more than a decade in the music industry, successfully publishing an independent music magazine. She was a columnist for Rolling Stone, Drum Media, 3D World and Juice Magazines, worked for EMI Music and PolyGram Records, and staged a series of conferences and events.
