Rodney Beach, 2018 Learning and Development Professional of the Year, is an energetic and dedicated L&D industry leader.
He is highly regarded for his thought leadership and commitment to propelling some of Australia’s largest organisations and education institutions into an era of digital disruption.
Rod founded Liberate Learning in 2010, and his company is recognised as a leading provider of digital and blended learning solutions, performance support and social learning design and deployment. Under his leadership, Liberate has grown from a one-man consultancy to having over 45 staff across Australia, and with approximately 200 corporate, higher education and government clients.

Finally, as a way of giving back to the community, Rod and his team at Liberate provide pro-bono services relating to the creation and hosting of digital learning portals, eLearning resources and learning management systems to transform education and awareness programs around gender equality, family violence, problem addictions, diversity and community inclusiveness to name a few.
Rod is the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for Professional Achievement (Federation University), Fellow of the Australian Institute of Training and Development, and holds qualifications in: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Teaching, Dip in Education Multimedia, Grad Cert Organisational Development and Leadership, Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Dip in Project Management.
