About Simon Crook
Simon Crook is Senior eLearning Adviser to 17 secondary schools within the Catholic Education Office, Sydney.
He works with teachers, principals and consultants on how best to integrate technology inside and outside the classroom to benefit student learning and facilitate better teacher collaboration.
Simon’s work includes educating colleagues around Google Apps for Education, mobile devices, digital citizenship and social media. He has presented at national and international conferences on such topics as ‘Twitter in Education’ and ‘How Technology is Breaking Down Traditional Barriers’.
Simon was the main organiser of the world record TeachMeet, coincidentally hosted at Australian Technology Park, in 2012. He is a PhD student with the University of Sydney, assessing the impact of 1:1 laptops and the Digital Education Revolution on student performance in Science. Simon is also a published author in several educational technology journals.
