Lydia's career has been primarily in the areas of Workers Compensation (Conciliation and Arbitration Officer-SA Workers Compensation Tribunal) and Work Health and Safety (Industry Consultant, and, Chief Adviser WHS Skills SafeWork SA). Lydia has had a long association with the University of South Australia having combined part-time teaching with her work in industry including as a WHS Consultant. Lydia's research thesis (Master of Education) focused on how organisations evaluate training outcomes including the drivers and barriers for continuous improvement. In her research, a conceptual framework including aspects such as human resource management and leadership were emphasised. Lydia is currently working for UniSA ONLINE and is an experienced online course facilitator and developer of asynchronous tertiary level courses. Lydia has regularly developed and presented: WHS responsibility, legal obligations in employment, managing contractors, psycho social hazards prevention, Safety Management System Auditing, recalibrating your WHS committee, Certificate IV in WHS Management, continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
