In a time of rapidly involving technology, ensuring that the learning solutions we create are based on sound learning science has never been more important.

Join us for a webinar with Mark Eggers, co-founder of microlearning platform Yarno, and Catherine Sharpe, Capability Specialist at Blackmores Group, for a look at Yarno’s award-winning app-based learning campaign to support Blackmores’ sales representatives.

In this session, Mark will share how the team at Yarno leveraged technology to drive motivation and create an engaging experience for a mobile and busy workforce, using best-practice learning principles including team-based learning, gamification, microlearning, human-centered design.

We will learn how Yarno and Blackmores collaborated through the design process to create a solution that team members actively sought out, and which achieved an impressive 94% participation and 91% completion rate.

Whether you’re a learning professional curious to leverage micro-learning and gamification, or you want tips on how to get the most out of a collaboration with an external agency, this session is for you.

Presenters:

Mark Eggers: Co-Founder - Yarno

Mark is an entrepreneur who’s on a mission to improve workplace learning.

Mark has spent the last 16 years working in digital, and also co-owned a bar/restaurant in Darlinghurst. It was here running the pass on a busy Friday night, that he discovered the challenges associated with training a casual workforce. After running a tasting session just a few days before, he overheard a team member telling a guest ‘they didn’t know which wine was the best pairing for that dish’. With his background in web, the idea for Yarno was then concocted on a chairlift with his cofounder Lachy.  Mark has since made it his mission to ensure training is embedded and refreshed so that team members have the right information at the right time. The next challenge was designing a platform where the content was memorable, bite-sized and gamified!

Mark also loves to fish, plays hockey twice a week, and enjoys skiing with his family.

Cathrine Sharpe: Capability Specialist - Blackmores Group

Catherine is a dedicated Capability and Learning Specialist, experienced in leadership, with a passion for continual development and personal growth, both for herself and others.
