This course introduces the core principles of using Generative (Gen)AI in learning and development. Learners will explore the impact of Gen AI on learner engagement, personalised learning experiences, and the future impact to L&D. This hands-on session will introduce you to powerful Gen AI tools that can transform your workflow and learner experience. Learn the basics of Gen AI literacy and how to use Gen AI to help you create content and assessments, development micro credentials and badges, and provide targeted feedback! Don’t stress, you will be guided each step of the way.
Content
This course delves into the practical applications of Gen AI in L&D environments. AI is a tool that can enhance our learning experiences and workflow activities. Develop Gen AI skills for efficient and impactful learning through hands-on practice and guided resources.
Outcomes
By the end of this course, you will be able to use generative AI to enhance your work activities, including:
- identifying skills gaps and aligning with organisational needs.
- creating AI-enhanced learning and assessments.
- automating L&D tasks like content creation, personalisation, and administration, boosting efficiency and tailoring learning experiences.
- maximising the effectiveness of AI prompts to achieve desired outcomes.
We will also consider the importance of human oversight to ensure accurate output and awareness of AI limitations and our ethical responsibilities.

This course is designed for L&D professionals, training managers, and instructional designers with basic experience with Generative AI (E.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or CoPilot) but would like to gain more comprehensive skills for greater impact.

Virtual delivery: A blended learning course comprised of self-paced online modules and live virtual classroom sessions. Access to Zoom is required.
