Conversations for Change in L&D: Improving the Quality of Interaction
Whether it’s change coming through from the wider business, locally initiated change, or even needed change in such areas as behaviours by individuals, change is the norm for L&D as elsewhere. But how does L&D deal with change?
This webinar explores the proposition, that notwithstanding the vast array of change management methodologies available, a key ingredient to influencing the success or otherwise of change efforts is the quality of conversation. This webinar introduces an Australian model - one that has gained international recognition - for enabling safer, clearer and more authentic conversations and dialogue in virtually any work-related setting.
The model is OBREAU, which stands for observation, reasonableness and authenticity. We will illustrate the application of OBREAU with relevant L&D- change scenarios involving individuals and groups. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on how they might use the structure as an aid to achieving progress with their own change challenges.
Key Takeaways:
1. A stronger appreciation of how the quality of conversation can impact change processes and outcomes in L&D settings.
2. Introduction to the OBREAU model for supporting conversation and dialogue on change-related issues.
3. An opportunity to reflect on how application of the model might be of benefit for enabling progress with challenges participants face.
